About AIToolMaps
AIToolMaps is an independent directory of AI tools for people who know what they want to get done but not which tool does it best. Instead of a feed of launches, the site is organized by the job: 58 tasks like meeting notes, image generation or code review, each with a ranked list of the 187 tools we list.
What makes a listing
- Every listing is written from the tool's own website, not from press releases, other directories or the vendor's marketing copy.
- Prices, free plans, platforms and API access are stored as separate facts, each linked to the page it was read from and dated.
- Listings are read again every week. When a price or feature changes, the listing changes with it; a site that stays down is taken off.
The details, including what we leave out and why, are on how we verify listings.
How tools are ranked
On a task page, a tool ranks higher when the task is central to what it does, when its listing is complete and checked, and when members upvote it, save it and review it. Nobody can pay for a place in a ranking, and there are no sponsored listings.
News, lists and comparisons
The AI news section follows official sources: company blogs, release notes and research papers. Best-of lists, head-to-head comparisons and the glossary are built from the same checked listings. Most of this is written with the help of an AI model and then checked sentence by sentence against the source it came from; sentences that cannot be backed up are removed before anything is published.
Reviews and comments
Signed-in members can upvote, save, rate and review tools. Reviews are checked against our community guidelines before they appear; spam, ads and abuse are turned away.
