Privacy policy

AIToolMaps (aitoolmaps.com) is a directory of AI tools and a daily AI news site. You can read everything on it without an account. This page explains what we collect when you visit or sign in, and what we do with it.

When you just visit

  • Our servers and our network provider, Cloudflare, keep standard request logs (IP address, browser, page, time) to run and protect the site.
  • We use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, which pages people read). Clarity sets cookies and may record anonymized sessions. See Microsoft's privacy statement for how it handles that data.
  • Each tool and news page counts one visit per browser per day, which feeds the Trending ranking. The count is stored in your browser's local storage and on our server only as a daily total per page; it is not tied to you.

When you sign in

  • You can sign in with Google, with GitHub, or with a one-time code sent to your email. We receive your name, email address and, from Google or GitHub, your profile picture. We do not receive your password.
  • We store your account, your sign-in sessions, and what you do on the site: tools you save or upvote, your ratings, reviews and comments, and tools you submit.
  • Sign-in codes are sent through Resend. The email-code form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you are a person.

What others can see

  • Published reviews and comments are public. They show your first name and the first letter of your last name, never your email address.
  • Upvote and save counts are public as totals; who upvoted or saved a tool is not shown.

Automatic moderation

Before a review or comment is published, its text and the page it is on are sent to an AI model (DeepSeek) to check it against our community guidelines. Only the text you wrote and the page context are sent, not your name or email.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
  • We don't send marketing email. The only emails we send are sign-in codes.

Your choices

  • You can delete any of your reviews or comments at any time from the page it is on.
  • To delete your account and everything tied to it, email us from the address you signed in with. We'll do it within 30 days.
