Cartesia's Sonic and Ink voice models now available through AWS
AWS published a post detailing how Cartesia, a partner focused on real-time voice AI, runs its Sonic text-to-speech and Ink speech-to-text models on AWS infrastructure. Sonic is offered as an Amazon SageMaker AI model package through AWS Marketplace, so teams subscribe once and host the model on an endpoint inside their own virtual private cloud, keeping inference data in their account. Ink is reachable through the Cartesia API, purchased via the Cartesia Voice AI Platform listing in AWS Marketplace.
Why it matters
Teams with data-residency, compliance or latency requirements can now run Cartesia's speech synthesis inside their own AWS accounts instead of only through an outside API, while transcription still requires the Cartesia API.
