NVIDIA open-sources AI Factory Operations Agent framework for DGX clusters
NVIDIA published the AI Factory Operations Agent it uses internally to run its own DGX SuperPOD clusters, and released the framework and code on GitHub along with a developer example others can deploy. A central agent routes site reliability engineers' natural-language questions to specialized sub-agents covering job recovery, hardware faults, observability, Kubernetes state, cluster management and documentation search, and returns findings through a chat interface. The stack is built on NVIDIA's NemoClaw blueprint and OpenShell runtime and can run entirely on-premises with locally served Nemotron open models. NVIDIA says it runs across its DGX H100, B200 and GB300 production clusters, with sandboxed sessions and read-only cluster access.
Why it matters
Teams operating large GPU clusters can adopt the same pattern with the published code and their own MCP tools, and because inference can run on local hardware, operational data can stay on-premises.
