Google launches Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash video model with 15-second clips
Google released Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash, a video generation model now generally available through the Gemini API and Gemini for business. It creates clips up to 15 seconds, up from 10 seconds in Omni 1.1, with duration settable in one-second steps between 3 and 15 seconds. Google cut the price 30% to $0.07 per second for 720p video.
The update adds multi-turn conversational editing, so users can adjust a clip turn by turn rather than regenerate it, and tighter adherence to reference images, short motion clips and audio cues for characters, products and brand details. Work can be drafted at 360p or 720p and upscaled to 1080p or 4K. The model reaches Flow, Google Vids, the Gemini app for Google AI Ultra subscribers and Google Ads, and outputs carry a SynthID watermark.
Why it matters
Cheaper per-second pricing and turn-by-turn edits let teams revise a video instead of paying to regenerate it each time, and general availability brings the model to enterprises through Google Cloud.
