What it does

CodeConnect is an AI tool for coding from the terminal. It is free to use.

CodeConnect is an iPhone app with a companion program for Mac and Linux computers. It puts the coding agents you already run, Claude Code and Codex, on one screen, so you can see which sessions are working and which are stopped and waiting on you. Projects, the home screen, lists sessions from every paired computer and puts the ones waiting on you first, with the command, its risk level and how long it has been waiting. When an agent needs a yes, you see the full command, what it does and how risky it is. A read is one tap; a forced git push needs a deliberate hold plus Face ID or your passcode. Declining means the command does not run, and Claude is told. Claude's questions get the same treatment, answered from the phone. You can also read diffs and leave notes, type or dictate a message, or open the live terminal and take over. Setup is a shell command on each computer, which installs a signed release, walks through Tailscale sign-in and shows a code to scan. Traffic stays on your tailnet and there is no CodeConnect account. The iPhone app is free and needs iOS 17 or later; computers need macOS 13 or later, or Linux on x86_64 or arm64. A local network option works without Tailscale, but without its encryption or the live terminal.

  • Combined session list across paired Mac and Linux machines
  • Waiting-agent count with a risk-ranked review queue
  • Full command and risk label shown before approval
  • Face ID or passcode gate on high-risk commands
  • Session transcripts with diffs and notes
  • Typed or dictated replies to an agent
  • Live terminal takeover
