What it does

Activepieces is an AI tool for automating workflows between apps, adding human approval to AI workflows and building AI agents. It has a free plan, and paid plans start at $20 per month.

Activepieces is a web workspace where teams build AI agents and automation flows. Chat, agents, flows, tables and a knowledge base share one place, and an agent can call a flow, a flow can run an agent, and both read and write the same tables. A description of the outcome in Chat drafts the automation; the visual builder adds branching, loops, retries, waitpoints, subflows, error handling and approval steps. Where a step needs code, TypeScript can be written inline. It suits teams with recurring manual work — reports, document routing, lead handling — and organizations that need to answer for how AI is used. Administrators separate teams into projects, decide which apps and models are allowed, keep credentials in their own vault, sign users in through an identity provider, and stream audit logs to a SIEM. Runs resume from the last finished step rather than starting over, and each run keeps its inputs and outputs so a failed step can be retried. Activepieces runs on the vendor's cloud in Frankfurt or on your own servers with Docker or Kubernetes; the core is MIT-licensed. A REST API and MCP server are available for building from outside the product. The free plan is free forever with no card and unlimited flows, and a paid Plus plan starts at $20 per month. Higher Team and Ultimate tiers add projects, SSO, roles, audit logs, secret managers and support, and an Embed plan puts the builder inside another company's product.

  • Inline TypeScript code steps
  • Tables, knowledge base and MCP server in the same workspace
