How to choose

For taking meeting notes, tools differ mainly in how they capture a call and where the output goes. Some send a bot into Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams, like Fireflies.ai and Fathom; others capture device audio without a bot, like Granola, or offer bot-free recording on desktop, like Otter.ai. Platform support varies: Otter.ai and Granola have Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android apps, while tl;dv runs in the browser with a Chrome extension. Free plans also differ: Otter.ai, Granola, Fireflies.ai, Fathom, and tl;dv offer them, but limits on history, summaries, storage, or features vary; Motion has no free plan. Consider whether you need searchable transcripts, summaries and action items, CRM or work-app integrations, cross-meeting queries, or an existing workspace; Notion includes AI Meeting Notes, while Krisp combines noise cancellation with notes.
