What it does
Nico is an AI tool for automating repetitive tasks, chatting with an AI assistant and managing your inbox. It has a free plan, and paid plans start at $15 per month.
Nico is a personal AI agent for Apple silicon Macs. Unlike agents that operate on a remote cloud computer, it works on the user's own machine, where their files, applications, mail, calendar, and browser logins already are. People can hold the right Command key and speak, type a request, drop in a file, or refer to the window on screen. The product uses a front agent for immediate conversation and a background Worker for longer jobs. The Worker can plan, research, use files and the web, read mail, and operate Mac apps such as Finder, Preview, and TextEdit; it checks with the user before submitting, deleting, or spending. Nico runs on the user's existing AI subscription or API account, and can use its own browser or the user's Chrome through an extension. Speech is not retained, and memories, chats, and outputs stay on the Mac. A Free plan costs $0 and provides text replies plus on-device speech recognition. The Plus plan costs $15 per month billed monthly and adds spoken replies, more accurate speech recognition, and smarter conversations. New accounts receive 7 days of Plus without a card. Both plans use the user's AI plan for agent tasks; if Plus usage runs over, Nico continues on Free for the rest of the month.
